Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They began as a small machine shop at first hiring four individuals. Product sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and other components. Throughout five years of operation, the business had expanded to forty staff and their annual sales volume had increased to $330,000. These days, Cascade is among the top global makers in the material handling industry.
Design and production of the company's very first hydraulic cylinder allowed this young company to aggressively engage in better business possibilities. Throughout the final 60 years, the trade of material handling has developed into a very complex field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its progress. The next manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry when the business recognized interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.
The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The business has expanded its production facilities throughout the U.S. with places in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are manufactured globally thanks to many subsidiary operations. In 1994, a brand new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European head office. This facility is made to be the essential customer support centre.
Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and the year 1997 with the dramatic acquisition of five companies, including the worldwide leader in forks, the Kenhar Corporation.
